An Additional Place of Business (APOB) is any extra location on your GSTIN where you conduct business — for Amazon sellers, that's the FBA fulfilment centre holding your stock. To use FBA in a state, you need a GSTIN there with the centre added as an APOB.

The setup

  1. Confirm you need the state with the Multi-state GST Checker.
  2. Get a VPOB address and register the state GSTIN.
  3. Add the Amazon fulfilment centre as an APOB via a core amendment.
  4. Enable the state in Seller Central and send inventory.
