When you register GST at an address you don't own, GST officers want the owner's permission. That document is the consent letter (often the same as the No Objection Certificate).

What it must contain

The consent letter usually travels with a registered Rent Agreement and a matching Utility Bill. See the full documents checklist and NOC guide.

Frequently asked questions

What is a consent letter for GST?

A consent letter (often the NOC) is the property owner's written permission to use the premises as your place of business for GST.

Does it need to be on stamp paper or notarised?

A notarised consent/NOC with a registered Rent Agreement and matching Utility Bill is strongly preferred — that's what we provide.
