ONDC seller GST registration (2026)

Selling on ONDC requires a GSTIN to onboard as a network participant, and a separate GSTIN in every state where your stock is stored. A VPOB lets you register in a new state without an office, with the fulfilment location added as an APOB.

ONDC (Open Network for Digital Commerce) sellers register via a Seller App, which requires a valid GSTIN. As with any marketplace, storing stock in another state means a GSTIN there — obtained through a VPOB — and the warehouse listed as APOB.

Do ONDC sellers need GST?

Yes. To list on ONDC through a Seller Network Participant you need a GSTIN. If you only sell services or sell from your home state, one GSTIN may be enough; if you store goods in multiple states' warehouses, you need a GSTIN in each.
