Flipkart FBF: the GST & APOB guide for sellers

To use Fulfilled by Flipkart in a state, you need a GSTIN there and the FBF centre on it. Here's exactly how to set that up.

Fulfilled by Flipkart (FBF) stores your stock in Flipkart's warehouses and ships your orders. Like Amazon FBA, it's governed by state-wise GST: stock in an FBF centre means you need a GSTIN in that state.

The two pieces

  • VPOB — a virtual office address to obtain the state GSTIN.
  • APOB — the FBF centre added to that GSTIN so you can inbound stock.
Same rule as Amazon: the GSTIN's state must match the FBF centre's state.

Step-by-step

  1. Identify the FBF centre's state.
  2. Get a VPOB there and obtain the GSTIN.
  3. Add the FBF centre as an APOB — see how to add APOB in the GST portal.
  4. Create the inbound and go live.
